Kenneth Park Architects (KPA), a NYC, Seattle and LA-based firm specializing in retail, commercial and mixed-use architecture, is currently seeking an Intermediate CAD/Revit Production Captain for our diverse portfolio. The position is based in our New York City office.

The Intermediate CAD/Revit Production Captain will be an integral member of the team, with responsibility over the production of design and construction documents. The Intermediate CAD/Revit Production Captain will be in frequent contact with the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager to maintain and implement client standards. The qualified candidate must also be familiar with all facets of an architectural survey.

The position is based in our New York City office.

  • Maintain communication and strong working relationships with sub-consultants, vendors and GC’s, as well as team members; excellent follow-up skills
  • Juggle multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously
  • Conduct architectural surveys and produce survey reports for use in design and construction documents. Travel required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of appropriate building codes and regulations, as well as industry best practices. Review and ensure all documents are code compliant.
  • Maintain and implement client standards in production of all deliverables, inclusive of design and construction documents.
  • Limited to full construction administration
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Architectural/Design Services
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Architecture degree required
  • Must be proficient in Revit AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Strong production skills, previous experience in retail a plus
  • Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Considerations for Revit and AutoCAD Production:
  • Aid in updating and maintaining Revit and AutoCAD project template
  • Aid in maintaining and updating project standards as they develop
  • Aid in maintaining view templates for multi-trade Revit models
  • Update standard Revit families
  • Meet periodically with appointed department designers/drafters for template development ideas and implementations

You will be responsible for a wide-range of activities, including aiding in day-to-day accounting responsibilities, team development, driving accounting initiatives, aiding in company’s accounting and finance infrastructure and a variety of financial analyses and special projects. Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development, execution and communication of Kenneth Park Architects Operations projects.
  • Support department to generate, maintain and execute Policy and Procedure Manuals including Store Operations, Loss Prevention, COP and New Hire Orientation. Maintain on-line versions and updates. Facilitate the development of new manuals and subsequent rollout.
  • Perform billable aspects of a project that may require more client interface, such as, assist with opening new project numbers, research, permit submittals, accompany team to project meetings, etc.
  • Maintain an all department calendar, project plan and checklist around critical tasks and timing for new, potential and ongoing projects. Work with all departments to track and report progress. Monitor all employee travel for client compliance with policy and budget adherence. Develop tracking and reporting methodology versus plan.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely analysis of budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist Executive Management team
  • Support the development of the annual planning cycle and interim financial updates
  • Manage and execute Special Projects as assigned.
  • Provide general admin duties such as answering phones, preparing project team’s courier service packages when needed, ordering food for specific team meetings, maintaining office supplies.
  • Maintain store history files including equipment vendor, services and finish schedules and support procurement and invoice processes.
  • Responsible for filing, and maintaining accurate file documentation. Assist project team with archiving as needed for the project files, and coordinating with other staff members to ensure complete archiving of projects.
  • Perform other assignments that may be assigned by Managing Director or Office Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
  • College degree
  • Strong computer skills – Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge required.
  • Confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy when handling sensitive issues.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (both written and verbal); excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to take the initiative and find efficient, creative solutions to problems.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of demonstrated professional development and advancement in accounting focused roles
  • Experience working as a Controller or similar hands-on capacity in a previous role
  • Ability to assess and implement policies to automate and control numerous accounting processes
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, operational risk assessment, and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate with cross functional teams
