MTOC Beijing

About This Project

The global flagship for up & coming retailer MTOC is a bi-level space of approximately 30,000 SF in Beijing’s Bao Yuan International Mall. Architecturally, the space is centrally anchored by a tiered, domed ceiling that allows natural light to flow into and illuminate the space. The dome hangs directly over a series of overlapping platforms with views onto the main shopping floor. The flagship was designed to be feel spacious and light-filled, with an open floor plan and minimal partitions. KPA designed a clean and modern interior with custom fixtures, LED and mirrored columns, and a latticed wall panel designed specifically for the MTOC brand. To further enhance the retail environment, a café on the second floor serves customers as they shop, to create a holistic retail experience that transcends beyond merchandise.
