As the largest H&M brick and mortar presence in the world, the Herald Square location is 6,000 SF larger than H&M’s second largest location on Fifth Avenue.
The four-story outpost has a 35 foot glass façade with a LCD screen, mirror and terrazzo detailing, as well as a 30-foot atrium. Befitting its status within H&M’s retail fleet, the store features cutting-edge retail technology, such as heat sensors in the fitting rooms and “try and buy” stations that enable immediate check out.
The flagship is a “full-concept” location, meaning it carries every range of product –including beauty, accessories, active wear, and home wares—each with its own designated section. KPA served as Executive Architect on this project.
