KPA designed this 105,000 SF mixed use development located near Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Comprised of 6 buildings and an outdoor activity area, the development was designed for student and faculty housing, with in-demand amenities and features and included residential, office, retail, dormitory and fitness spaces. The largest structure, building #1, is comprised of a first floor of parking, second floor of office space, and five floors of residential space. 

Although the buildings have different utilities, they are connected in a way that enhances their usability and makes them easily accessible from one another. The design of the development creates an intimate neighborhood environment, with walkable paths and outdoor lounge areas located throughout. By including a variety of amenities and destinations, Arlington Commons is designed to be a welcoming residence and retail destination for nearby college attendees.
